中外ライフサイエンスパーク横浜内に設けられた,次世代を育成する実験教室及び学習体験スペースがバイオラボです。
訪れた人が一目見て引き込まれるような空間を創造するため、高透過強化合わせガラスを用いた大型ガラススクリーンが採用されました。
このガラススクリーンはその存在感をできるだけなくし実験室の内外空間を一体に感じさせると共に、必要となる区画性能を担います。
高さ5ｍもある大きなガラススクリーンでありながらその大きさが感じられないのは、高透過ガラスの使用とトップライトから入る拡散光による明るい室内の影響です。
入口となる自動ドアも透明性を極限まで上げる為に下部エンジン駆動のフレームレスドアとし、ドアレールもミニマルにしています。
L型に加工されたドアを囲む門形のガラス部は最新の製造、設計技術が用いられています。
Located within the Chugai Life Science Park Yokohama, the Bio Lab is an experimental classroom and interactive learning space designed to foster the next generation of scientific talent.
To create a space that immediately captures and draws in visitors, a large-scale glass screen composed of high-transparency tempered laminated glass was adopted.
The glass screen is designed to minimize its own presence as much as possible, visually unifying the interior and exterior spaces of the laboratory while also fulfilling the required spatial separation and safety performance.
Although the glass screen reaches a height of 5 meters, its scale feels remarkably light and unobtrusive due to the use of high-transparency glass and the bright, diffused natural light entering from the skylight above.
The automatic entrance doors also pursue the highest possible level of transparency through the use of frameless bottom-drive systems, while the door rails have been minimized to maintain a clean appearance.
The portal-shaped glass enclosure surrounding the L-shaped processed doors was realized through the application of the latest manufacturing and engineering technologies.
