駿河台に新たな中央大学のキャンパスが竣工しました。
高層部外周にらせん状に配置された階段の外周はPCカーテンウォールの凹凸形状を利用したガラスリブとフェイスガラスで構成されています。
お固いイメージがある学校建築ですが、このガラススクリーンの存在が見た人に透明性とドキドキするような感動をもたらしています。
エントランスホール廻りも高層同様にガラスリブスクリーンで構成され、自立タイプの風除室は開放感と透明生を表現する事に役立っています。
A new campus for Chuo University has been completed in Surugadai.
The exterior perimeter of the spiral staircases arranged around the upper levels of the tower is composed of glass ribs and face glass integrated with the articulated geometry of the precast concrete curtain wall.
While educational architecture is often associated with a formal and rigid image, the presence of this glass screen introduces a sense of transparency and excitement, creating an emotionally engaging experience for those who see it.
Around the entrance hall, glass rib screens similar to those used in the high-rise portion have also been adopted. The freestanding entrance vestibule contributes to the expression of openness and transparency, reinforcing the welcoming character of the building.
