The galleria, which connects adjacent building wings and encloses an 11.6-meter-high atrium space, was designed to achieve both transparency and energy efficiency through the use of vertically emphasized mullions incorporating large-format insulated glazing units approximately 4 meters in height.
By adopting a curtain wall system equipped with variable dead-load support fittings capable of vertical movement during seismic events, the visible width of the sash members could be minimized, further enhancing the sharp and refined appearance of the façade.
At the external corner of the galleria, the flat-bar mullions are not arranged diagonally in a conventional manner. Instead, the corner glazing is supported by minimal custom fittings cantilevered from the adjacent flat-bar mullions. This detail successfully creates a light and uncluttered impression from both the interior and exterior viewpoints.
