図書館のシースルーEVを囲むガラスBOXと手摺についてお手伝いさせて
頂きました。開口が複雑に入り組む中、EV出入口の鉄骨につながれた面
ガラスを利用して上部に細いフレームを回し、これに各面のガラスをつな
ぐことで各コーナーにガラスを支持する柱を儲けないで構成しています。
We were involved in the design of the glass box enclosure and balustrades surrounding the library’s transparent elevator.
Despite the complexity of the intersecting openings, the system was carefully organized by utilizing the face glass connected to the steel framing around the elevator entrances. A slender frame was arranged at the upper level, and each glass panel was connected to this frame, allowing the enclosure to be realized without placing vertical support columns at the corners.
This approach preserves the transparency and lightness of the space while maintaining the structural integrity of the glass enclosure.
