富山県の神通川と富岩運河に挟まれた素晴らしい眺望の得られる土地に
建てられた美術館です。
運河に面した吹抜部分をガラスファサードで構成し、透明なLow-E複層
ガラスを使用して街に開かれたものにしながら、環境性能も上げています。
屋上広場に上がるEVや階段などを透明ガラスのBOXで構成し、吹抜を横
に移動する人だけではなく上下への人の動きを見えるようにしており、
ダイナミックな賑わいを感じる事ができます。

室前には国内最大級の高さ10ｍの合わせガラス（富山県のガラス加工会社
である三芝硝材製）を用いたピース支持スクリーンで構成し、巨大なガラ
スの箱が壁面から飛び出すように作られています。
This museum was built on a remarkable site in Toyama, situated between the Jinzu River and the Fugan Canal, offering exceptional panoramic views.
The atrium facing the canal is composed of a glass façade using transparent Low-E insulating glass, creating an open and welcoming relationship with the city while simultaneously enhancing environmental performance.
The elevators and staircases leading to the rooftop plaza are enclosed within transparent glass boxes, allowing visitors to perceive not only horizontal movement through the atrium but also vertical circulation throughout the building. This creates a strong sense of dynamism and lively activity within the space.
In front of the exhibition room dedicated to the art collection of Shuzo Takiguchi — the Toyama-born poet and art critic — a point-supported glass screen composed of one of the largest laminated glass panels manufactured in Japan, reaching a height of 10 meters, was installed. Fabricated by Mishiba Glass Co., Ltd., the immense glass enclosure appears to project dramatically outward from the wall surface like a transparent crystalline volume.
